CICCPS Trade and Investment Delegation Visited Bangladesh
 

From May 31 to June 2, CICCPS delegation of 35 entrepreneur representatives to conduct economic and trade inspections in Dhaka and Chittagong, Bangladesh. The activity aimed to deepen international exchange and cooperation among private enterprises under the Belt and Road Initiative framework, and was conducted with support from the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Commerce, the International Cooperation Department of the ACFIC, and the Economic and Commercial Office of the Chinese Embassy in Bangladesh.

On June 1, the China-Bangladesh Conference on Investment and Trade was held in Dhaka, attended and addressed by Mr. Yunus the Chief Adviser of the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao, and Chinese Ambassador to Bangladesh Yao Wen. The conference gathered over 400 representatives from Chinese and Bangladeshi enterprises and business associations. CICCPS Vice President Kong Linglei delivered a speech on behalf of the chamber, introducing the strengths and cooperation intentions of Chinese enterprises, and presided over the "Chinese Private Enterprises - Bangladesh Trade and Investment Matchmaking Meeting." Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on cooperation topics, achieving multiple outcomes.

During the inspection tour, the delegation visited PowerChina Bangladesh Company, the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh, the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI), the China-Bangladesh Economic Industrial Park, and the Chittagong Export Processing Zone. Through meetings and exchanges, they gained a detailed understanding of Bangladesh's investment environment, market status, and potential risks, building bridges for practical cooperation between private enterprises of both countries. On the evening of May 31, they attended the "Chinese Investors Night" exchange event jointly hosted by the City Bank Bangladesh and the Chinese Enterprises Association in Bangladesh. On June 2, the delegation proceeded to Chittagong to inspect the China-Bangladesh Economic Industrial Park, the export processing zone, and textile and garment enterprises invested by Chinese companies in Bangladesh, provided a platform for Chinese enterprises expanding globally through on-site visits and experience sharing.
