From May 27 to 30, CICCPS delegation composed of nearly 30 entrepreneur representatives, led by CICCPS Vice President Yan Gaoming, visited Colombo, Sri Lanka for trade and investment promotion activities, which participated in the China-Sri Lanka Trade and Investment Conference.
During the visit, CICCPS delegation met with Sri Lanka's Ministry of Industry and Enterprise Development and the Board of Investment (BOI), and conducted field inspections of key projects including China Harbour's Colombo Port City, China Merchants Colombo International Container Terminal, as well as leading local enterprises Softlogic and TRACE Innovation Park, actively promoting China-Sri Lanka economic and trade cooperation.
At the Trade and Investment Conference on May 30, Chinese Minister of Commerce Wang Wentao and Sri Lankan Minister of Labor and Deputy Minister of Economic Development Fernando delivered addresses, with over 300 participants from both countries. The delegation actively engaged in business matchmaking sessions and reached hundreds of preliminary cooperation intentions across multiple sectors. Vice President Yan Gaoming addressed the conference and put forward three cooperation initiatives to help deepen the China-Sri Lanka strategic partnership.
