On January 20, 2025, ahead of the Lunar New Year, CICCPS, Embassy of Cuba in China, and Yingke Law Firm jointly held a Spring Festival gathering to convey traditional Chinese blessings, promote Chinese culture, and strengthen collaborative ties.
The event was honored by the presence of H.E. Alberto Blanco Silva, Ambassador of Cuban Embassy in China and his wife. Attendees also included Mei Xiangrong, Executive President of CICCPS, Founding Partner, and Chairman of Yingke Law Firm and along with other relevant member enterprises and all secretariat staff.
The gathering was filled with a joyful and vibrant atmosphere, featuring activities such as writing the Chinese character "福" (fortune) and Spring Festival couplets, painting exhibitions with explanations, culinary displays including dumpling-making, and musical performances.
Ambassador Alberto Blanco Silva noted that the 65-year friendship between Cuba and China remained evergreen and expressed sincere gratitude for China's emergency assistance to Cuba in 2024. He conveyed his deep appreciation for Chinese culture and the traditional Spring Festival and stated that China's long-standing traditional culture would benefit all humanity and that "Chinese culture is everlasting." He warmly invited Chinese friends to visit Cuba for tourism, inspections, and investment. The Ambassador fully acknowledged and thanked CICCPS for its efforts in advancing Cuba-China economic and trade cooperation in recent years, praising the chamber as a "trusted and reliable good friend," and assured that the embassy would strongly support CICCPS's work in the coming year. He also thanked CICCPS and Yingke Law Firm for the kind invitation and he looked forward to further enhancing mutual understanding and friendship between Cuba and China through this event.
