On September 3, 2024, Li Bingshu the Secretary General of CICCPS and CICCPS delegation composed with membership representatives, were invited to the Embassy of Zimbabwe in China. CICCPS delegation held discussions with officials from the embassy and Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency (ZIDA) on enhancing bilateral economic and trade cooperation.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Pedzisai Mwayera the Minister-Counsellor of Zimbabwean Embassy and Mr. Midzikupawah the consultant of Export Development from Zimbabwe Investment and Development Agency. In-depth exchanges were conducted with CICCPS team members and topics were about the export of agricultural products such as avocados to China, cross-border e-commerce, and mineral trade cooperation.

China was currently Zimbabwe's second-largest trading partner and more collaborations in infrastructure, agriculture, energy, and environmental protection were increasing. Mr. Midzikupawah stated that ZIDA was ready to provide effective support for cooperation in feasible sectors and looked forward to connecting with more Chinese enterprises. He also invited CICCPS to encourage its member enterprises to go for investment inspections to Zimbabwe.
