On July 3, 2024, the "Dialogue Between Chinese Entrepreneurs and the Trade Representation of the Russian Embassy in China-Focus on Russia," hosted by the China International Chamber of Commerce for the Private Sector (CICCPS), was successfully concluded in Beijing.
The dialogue was attended by Ms. Serdiukova Elena, Representative of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development in China; Mr. Sokolovskii the Advisor of the Trade Representation; along with representatives from Russian republics and regional development organizations, including Mr. Fluer Asadullin (Representative of the Republic of Bashkortostan), Mr. Gorshkov Evgeny (Representative of the Republic of Tatarstan), Mr. Popov Maxim (Chief Representative of the Siberian Regional Governments Association), and Mr. Kruskikh Mikhail (Chief Representative of the Yenisey Siberia Development Group). The CICCPS delegation included the Vice President Liu Haikang and over 40 representatives from president, executive president, and vice president enterprises of CICCPS.
Li Bingshu extended a warm welcome to all participants. He highlighted the 75-year profound friendship between China and Russia and noted the remarkable journey of bilateral relations and the substantial achievements in economic and trade cooperation. Practical collaboration across various sectors and strong ties have laid a solid foundation for the relationship.
He emphasized that China had been Russia's largest trading partner for 13 years, while Russia was China's fourth-largest trading partner reflecting increasingly close cooperation. As China-Russia trading was accelerating, he stressed that enhancing this cooperation requires not only governmental suport but also the drive of nongovernmental forces. Li Bingshu expressed CICCPS's commitment to actively promote nongovernmental exchanges and enterprise cooperation through information sharing, business inspections, investment promotion, and project matching in the future.
