On July 2, the “Innovate Global Startup bootcamp--Connecting Chinese Momentum Global Innovation" thematic event was successfully held at the Yingke Law Firm Headquarters in Beijing. The event was guided by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China, the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, and the Chinese People's Institute of Foreign Affairs and organized by the Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), CICCPS, and Yingke Law Firm. The purposed of this event was to further deepen the connection between China and global innovation resources, promote exchanges and cooperation between Chinese enterprises and international markets, and advance technological innovation and industrial upgrading.
Opening remarks were delivered by Li Bingshu, SecretaryGeneral of CICCPS; Yang Lin, International Founding Partner, Global Partner, and Executive Director of the Global Board of Yingke Law Firm; and Adnan Sawadi, Vice Chairman of the GIA Council. The event was hosted by Tang Yaqi, Executive Secretary-General of GIA.
Ms. Tang Yaqi extended a warm welcome to the attending leaders, investors, entrepreneurs, and innovators. She reviewed the achievements made by the alliance under the guidance of authoritative institutions and announced its merger with the renowned European sci-tech incubator StartupBootCamp, forming the new IG-SBC Global Innovation Alliance. She detailed the merged alliance's business layout in fund investment, technology incubation, and commodity trading, noting its $7 billion fund backed by sovereign wealth funds including those from Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Bahrain.
Ms. Tang specifically highlighted the delegation's key objectives for visiting China, such as established a multi-billion RMB innovation fund, set up a sci-tech accelerator in China, and implemented a "Sci-Tech Going Global" strategy to provide comprehensive support for Chinese enterprises and capital expanding overseas. She stated the event would further enhance participants' understanding of GIA and promote more international cooperation opportunities.
