On March 12, 2024, Gai Lin the Secretary General of EU-China Friendship Association, visited CICCPS for exchange talks. The discussions primarily focused on recent China-EU economic and trade cooperation, EU investment policies, and potential areas for collaboration.

Li Bingshu extended a warm welcome to Secretary-General Gai Lin and introduced CICCPS's basic profile, activity brands established in recent years and efforts in facilitating member enterprises' participation in international cooperation and serving the Belt and Road Initiative. He expressed the hope to strengthen ties with the EU-China Friendship Association, wished to engage in multi-faceted discussions and joint cooperation, particularly intensifying exchanges on relevant EU policies and economic information, to assist more Chinese private enterprises in expanding into Europe for international economic exchanges and cooperation.

Gai Lin expressed sincere appreciation for the reception and introduced the general situation of EU-China Friendship Association. He mentioned his years of experience working in Europe, he reiterated his longstanding commitment to promoting nongovernmental economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe. He looked forward to enhancing the cooperative relationship with CICCPS, jointly building bridges, and achieving information interoperability. Multiple collaborative items were identified, including jointly organizing policy interpretation and legal regulation training for member enterprises, facilitating business inspection delegations to Europe, and arranging European entrepreneur delegations to visit China, all aimed at promoting mutual benefit and win-win outcomes in China-EU economic and trade relations.
